UMPEDAC has been chosen as the recipient of the HLAF Lifetime Achievement Award. As the recipients of the award, UMPEDAC will receive a trophy, certificate, mock cheque and prized money of USD 100, 000 (One Hundred Thousand US Dollar). The trophy, certificate and the mock cheque have been presented by HLAF Chairman, Ybhg Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, during the HLAF Award Dinner on 9th of June 2014 at PWTC. This award is an honour and a great recognition to UMPEDAC as a research institution at the international level.
UMPEDAC researchers Dr. Mohamad Fathi Mohamad Elias, Professor Dr. Nasrudin Abd Rahim, and Professor Dr. Hew Wooi Ping have won the 2nd place for IEEE Industry Application Society (IAS) prestigious award for the paper titled “Asymmetrical Transistor Clamped H Bridge Cascaded Multilevel Inverter”. Presentation of the award will take place during the IEEE Industry Application Society Annual Meeting in Vancouver, Canada which took place on 6th October 2014.
On the 1st November 2016, Prof. Dr. Nasrudin and Dr. Che Hang Seng received the Malaysia’s Rising Star Awards under the category International Collaboration and Frontier Researcher, respectively. The event was organized by Ministry of Higher Education and Malaysia Citation Center at the Putrajaya Marriott Hotel.
